After work and on weekends, you might spot Art walking his dog in his Kennesaw, Georgia neighborhood. Originally, he hadn’t been looking for a pet. But at his children’s urging, he looked at adopting one.

When one of the pups, Evan, came over and put his head on Art’s lap, that was that. Art took him home, and since then, they have been changing each other’s lives for the better.
